TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama is accepting nominations for its Tuscaloosa County Civic Hall of Fame Class of 2022.

The honors are part of the West Alabama Chamber Foundation's efforts to recognize exceptional citizens who have made "significant, long-term contributions to the overall quality of life of Tuscaloosa County."
Nominations will be accepted until June 1.
Honorees with be immortalized on the Chamber's recognition wall at Government Plaza.
Jheovanny Gomez, a 2021 inductee and the co-owner of Jalapeños Mexican Grill, said the Civic Hall of Fame is a true honor to those that give their time and talent selflessly to the community and is a way to ensure their legacy is remembered.
"Being recognized at this level by your community for giving back and doing what you love is the highest honor you can achieve," he said.
Since 2001, there have been 135 community leaders inducted
