PALM HARBOR, FL — Kiran Ganga, a Palm Harbor University High senior, has been selected as a member of the 32nd class of Coca-Cola Scholars.
She is one of 150 high school seniors across the country who will each receive a $20,000 college scholarship. Ganga was selected from an initial pool of 93,075 applications from across the country.
The Coca-Cola scholarship is awarded to students who exemplify superior leadership, service and academic skills. Ganga will also participate in a coaching program that partners seasoned alumni with first-year Scholars as they transition to college.
Ganga will attend Cornell University in the fall as a Meinig Family Cornell National Scholar, which is awarded to the top 50 admitted students for their leadership. As a Meinig Family Cornell National Scholar, Ganga will also receive a $16,000 scholarship and $3,500 for internship and community service opportunities.
