John D. Teply Gallery is seeking filmmakers who are passionate about the Pacific Coast and who would like to be a part of the annual "For the 7th Generation" exhibition. A coastal showcase taking place at the Lincoln City Cultural Center in Lincoln City, OR on July12th-17th. "For the 7th Generation" is a unique exhibition that brings painting, spoken word and film together to celebrate the Pacific Coastline. Artists up and down the Western Coastline, from southern CA to northern WA and everything in-between, paint, film or write works inspired by a specific coastal site. The thought is that these works act as a timestamp for the specific coastal site. As our sea levels rise, inevitably the creatively documented site will change. All the works in this exhibition reflect and encapsulate where sea levels are now versus where they will be in the future. All films must be complete by July 1st, be site-specific and be no more than 5 minutes in length. Email us for inquiry.
