Make Ready Tecnicians: The Make Ready Technician ensures that all vacant dorms are ready for move-in and exceeds U of H standards of excellence. Essential Functions: • Complete all needed repairs and improvements to dorms prior to given deadline, by following the make-ready checklist including: -Painting -Sheetrock repair -Caulk and seal all windows, sinks toilets and baths -Touch-up paint -Lighting -Light plumbing -Basic handyman repairs Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position (May-August) which will typically involve 40+ hours a week with approved overtime. Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Saturday, 7:00 a.m.-7:00p.m. (This is subject to change, based on the project’s needs). .Other Expectations: • A high school diploma or G.E.D. is a must • Must pass screening process which includes a drug test and background check Candidates being interviewed and considered for employment are subject to a drug test and background check. Overtime and pay raises will be available to those who excel.
