The Board of the Powwow Pond Council seeks a person to cut channels on the Pond from June 1, 2022 until August 15, 2022 using the Council’s weed cutter. The person will remove the weeds that are cut and deliver them to a central location on the Pond. The ideal candidate for the position should have a boat that has at least 20 horsepower, drafts approximately 12” or less of water, and also has a beam of approximately 72”. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the boat and motor, providing fuel, and providing documentation of liability insurance which will cover the work outlined. While the position offers flexible hours, it is expected that the successful candidate will cut channels and remove the cut weeds for 8 hours approximately every ten days from June 1 to August 15. It is expected that a total of 72 hours of cutting/removal will take place. The Board will pay $30 an hour for the position.
