Following the announcement of the retirement of Valencia College president Sandy Shugart in June 2021, the college's board of trustees will begin discussing the search for his replacement at a workshop in September.
The Valencia College District Board of Trustees will hold a public meeting on Sept. 9 at 9:30 a.m. to discuss the search process and timeline, identify a search committee and establish the qualifications for the position. Board members will also review the results of a survey of Valencia faculty and staff on what they are looking for in the college's next president.Information about the Sept. 9 board workshop will be posted here in the coming days.
