Job Title/Position: Warehouse Reports To: Warehouse Manager QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent. One (1) year of general equipment maintenance and repair, experience in the home care industry preferred. Manufacturer or industry maintenance and repair training certification. Possesses and maintains good physical stamina and mental health; complies with organization policies concerning health screening and health requirements. Has a satisfactory reference from current employers and professional peers. Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Is self-directed with the ability to work with little supervision. Is flexible and cooperative in fulfilling all obligations. SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The warehouse technician is responsible for receiving, processing, checking, and repairing all equipment rented to home medical equipment patients. This position maintains purchase and preventive maintenance records on all equipment owned by WHY MEDICAL SUPPLIES. General appearance and cleanliness of all equipment processing, repair, and storage areas are also the responsibility of this position. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Quality improvement activities: Attends regular technician in-service Brings opportunities for improvement to attention of supervisor Inventory control and maintenance activities: Communicates inventory and parts level to Operations Manager Prepares orders for oxygen and supplies Cleans, checks, repairs, and shelves returned rental equipment Schedules rental equipment for preventive maintenance Repairs rental equipment where manufacturer’s training program completed Updates repair and preventative maintenance records Repairs patient owned equipment using OEM parts only Rotates dated stock and pulls outdated stock for return Receives common carrier shipments of inventory Ships via common carrier patient orders and returns to vendors Verifies accuracy of shipping documents Facility maintenance: Cleans warehouse floor and fixtures Maintains inventory storage in orderly manner Maintains oxygen storage area Picks up debris and maintains warehouse Assists in regulatory compliance efforts: Follows FDA repackaging and tracking regulations Follows OSHA safety standards Obeys local fire code provision Occasionally does deliveries The above statements are only meant to be a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by incumbents of this job.
