Solar Panel Site Surveyor Needed

Independent contractors -- here is your opportunity to get into the solar panel business, set your own hours, be your own boss working out of your own home or office, on your own terms. I need a solar site surveyor to provide the electrical and/or structural details for proposed solar panel systems. They could be roof mounted, ballasted mounted, ground mounted, or pole mounted. Surveyors take accurate measurements and pictures inside and out of our customer's residential properties of necessary electrical panels, meters, documents, obstructions, roof framing, and general structural property. Surveyors also assess the roof framing for structural integrity, condition, or existing damage. You will be uploading photos and site assessment documentation into "Site Capture" and drawings with email or text. You must have: Excellent computer skills including the ability to copy files and communicate via email and a work-station class computer. Must be able to take accurate measurements with a tape measure, hand-held laser measuring devices, high-resolution drone, transit lasers, and hand-held laser measuring devices Ability to read, write, and understand solar plans, blueprints, and designs Must be able to draw dimensions over pictures OR use engineering drawing software (AutoCAD, SketchUP, Adobe, etc.) High resolution cell phone camera and/or hand held camera. Basic knowledge of residential electrical and structural systems Must possess a valid NYS driver’s license and have reliable transportation capable of carrying ladders Ability to make multiple trips up and down a ladder and comfortable in tight spaces (attic, crawlspaces, etc.) Must have knowledge for checking roof quality for a multitude of roof types (but we will also provide basic training where needed) Experienced electricians preferred but NOT required (we will provide advanced training where needed).
