Hello, my name is Athena. I’m from sacramento, California. Last month I got into a almost fatal car accident leaving me with a broken spine. My insurance is horrible, it took them 3 weeks to get a wheel chair to me. And I could never get a Dr apt or MRI. My partners family lives in las cruces and told me great western sky insurance is, how amazing his family is, how they would help me, and how we can get an apartment easily because of how affordable it is there. Well NONE of that was accurate and it wasn’t his fault, he believed all of this would happen. The first week of staying at the big chille inn because that’s all we could afford, someone stole all of my money, my wheel chair, and my back brace. The hospitals won’t see me and that’s when I learned that I can’t get insurance unless I’ve been a resident for 3 months and the hospitals all turned me away and wouldn’t help me My parents and family won’t help me. And this is when I also learned I have no real friends. I managed to get a week stay at a motel but once this week is over I will have no where to go. I am un able to work due to my broken spine, I’m supposed to be on bed rest. I don’t know what to do anymore. My partners “boss” barely pays him yet works him from sunrise to sunset. I am always in 8/10 pain. I just want a safe place to call home and I really need help and somewhere to live. My partner builds houses,drywall, tile, floors, everything.
