Description
This studio will be available on June 1, 2022.
This artist's studio is a private space, open-topped, in a former textile factory shared by other artists working in private spaces throughout the building. The studio is located in Ridgewood, Queens near Bushwick, Brooklyn. There's twenty-four hour access.
The building is located close to the M train's Metropolitan stop and not far from the Myrtle-Wyckoff station on the L train. There are many buses running nearby as well.
The space is intended for visual artists, writers, photographers, and others whose work does not involve dust and toxic chemicals. Artists use headphones/earbuds and the space is free of loud noises with the exception of various, low-level tools.
There's a common workspace with a table saw, work table, vice, and other tools available along with a coffee maker and microwave. Adjacent to the common space are two bathrooms and a slop sink for cleaning. There are two designated parking spaces for artists and free parking along the nearby streets.
Wifi and utilities are included in the rent. The studio is approximately 200 square feet.
The studios occupy the second floor of the building with easy stair access from the parking lot. There is a freight elevator (though it is currently under repair after damage from Ida).
