I have a 12 month old purebred black Australorp rooster I need to rehome, he is a bit timid when it comes to strangers but he will warm up once you give him some treats! He has never been aggressive and is a sweet little guy that will cuddle up to you when he gets to know you. He has a rehoming fee of $75 but this is negotiable for the right home. He was hand raised from a chick around kids and adults, man and woman, and is friendly so I really want him to go to the best home possible as a pet or at least just not food. The reason I am rehoming the rooster is because I have another rooster and he beats him up and at night he sleeps in the nesting boxes and sometimes there are hidden eggs he breaks. If he is the only rooster this wouldn't be a problem, since he is of lower superiority in my flock he doesn't do much, my other rooster does all the work and chases him away from the hens and my other rooster crows and alerts the hens of any danger and he is just living everyday running away from my other rooster so I want him to live a better life with his own hens.
