Description

I am looking into the thought of rehoming my cat, Beverly. I say looking into the thought because I do not NEED to rehome Beverly, but I am worried she is not getting the love and attention she needs. We got a dog in Feb of 2021 and since then she hides away. I have slowly introduced them over this time but she is still not comfortable leaving her “safe room” and I don’t think that this is an ideal life for any animal. Beverly would need to be in a home without dogs, unless said dog is 100% unbothered by cats and would not approach her at all. Beverly can tend to be very picky choosy. She will be cuddly but it has to be on her terms, always. When Beverly got spayed her personality shifted a bit and became this way. Due to the contract with such organization Beverly was spayed pretty young, which is what I think caused this. I am not an expert, though, i believe she gets overstimulated if pet for too long and will sometimes swat at you if you continue petting her past her limit. Because of her shyness and her tend to get “overstimulated” I would say she would probably also do best in a home without children under the age of 13. Beverly is NOT declawed and if you are interested in her but only without claws, please do not reach out. Beverly loves cardboard scratch posts and WILL use them if provided over any furniture. Beverly had NEVER been outdoors unless in a carrier to go to the vet. I had tried once a cat harness for her outside and she did not approve. I don’t think she would even survive outside if let out. Therefore she is an INDOOR cat only. Beverly has lived with other cats and she won’t bother them unless they invade her space. She has only met male cats though until she got used to them she would swat anytime they came close but nothing serious, and if anything she retreats before any escalation. Beverly loves playing and will come with the toys she has and any food / litter we have at the time. Beverly loves human food and is notoriously known for stealing McDonalds cheese burgers. I am hoping to find somebody who would be giving Beverly time before deciding she’s is or is not the right fit as I don’t want to stress her out. Though if you are seriously interested please reach out via text. There will be a rehoming fee to ensure she goes to a good home. I would love her to go to somebody who could send me updates on how she is doing and if it is not a good fit to return her to me. 4 years old ( 08.2017 ) Female ( Spayed ) Indoor Cat ONLY NOT declawed.
