Help Kappa Delta raise money for PCAA and CARDV at Mock Rock On Tour!
“Childhood should be carefree, playing in the sun; not living a nightmare in the darkness of the soul.”
--Dave Pelzer, child abuse survivor
To help put an end to child abuse, Alpha Kappa Chapter of Kappa Delta Sorority at Oregon State University actively supports two organizations that protect children from violence. As women, we know how child abuse and violence shatters confidence. We believe no one should have to live in fear, so for the past 33 years, our chapter has supported the Center Against Rape and Domestic Violence (CARDV) and Prevent Child Abuse America (PCAA). CARDV is a Corvallis-based organization that provides services and support to those affected by sexual and domestic violence. PCAA is a national organization that builds awareness and provides education about child neglect and abuse, with a focus on prevention.
Kappa Delta chapters across the country raise money each year to benefit local and national efforts to prevent child abuse. Our annual local philanthropy event, Mock Rock, begins on Thursday May 26th and consists of three days of community fundraising events, culminating in a lip-sync and dance competition on Saturday, May 28th from 3-5:30PM at LaSells Stewart Center on the Oregon State campus.
We are asking for your help in raising money to support the prevention of child abuse in Corvallis and across the nation. Our chapter’s goal for 2022 is $30,000. CARDV will receive 80% and PCAA will receive 20% of the net proceeds, which will provide these organizations with the resources needed to create a culture where violence is not tolerated.
Thank you in advance for your thoughtfulness and generosity!
