WHANU DAY - Sausages, Doughnuts, Lollies, Games We’re planning a great family get-together on June 4 for expat Kiwis and supporters. Whanau Day has become a regular event on the Kia Ora DC Kiwis social calendar, including a sausage sizzle, lolly scramble, gumboot throwing, sack-racing, karaoke and other activities. As in 2019, this year’s event, on June 4 from 10am to 2pm, will be at the Joseph Hensley Park, 4200 Eisenhower Ave, Alexandria VA. The cost will be $10 for kids (Under 2 are free) and $15 for adults. You can buy tickets soon. There will be a limit on numbers so please book early. As we’ve missed a couple of years, it would be great if you could let other Kiwi families in the area, especially those that have come in more recently, know about the event and encourage them to join our Facebook group and newsletter so we can use this event to expand our community.
