Multicultural Teaching Institute 2022 MTI is a collaborative 3 day conference for educators located at the Meadowbrook School in Weston, MA that examines the need for, practice of, application of multicultural teaching practices. Experts in the field in partnership with classroom teachers and administrators work together to become more aware of personal bias, and looks at the multiple ways to make educational spaces more inclusive and affirming for all young people. Fee: Fees include breakfast and lunch for each day, an evening reception with drinks and appetizers Thursday evening, as well as all your conference materials.  Important note: The conference officially starts at 8:30am each, and ends at 4:30pm except for the last day. We hope you will join us on Thursday evening for a community building social hour from 4:30pm-5:30pm. *MTI will be in compliance with all current COVID protocols set by the Meadowbrook School, the location of the three day institute. Updated protocols will be provided. *MTI is a three-day-long experience, with each day’s activities building upon the previous day’s events. Attendance at all three days is essential and expected for all participants. If you are not able to make all three days of three days of the conference then we hope you can join us during a year when you can attend the entirety of the summer. Meals: Continental breakfast is provided each morning of the conference in the MacDowell Center beginning at 8:30AM. Hot lunch is provided each day with plenty of vegetarian options. Coffee and healthy snacks will be available throughout the day. Please notify us in advance of any allergies or dietary restrictions and our team will do our best to accommodate you. Directions to Meadowbrook:The Meadowbrook School is located at 10 Farm Road, Weston, Massachusetts, just 20 minutes outside of Boston.  Hotel Accommodations: Please email Yocelin Gonzalez, MTI Director, at [email protected] for more information and specific hotel details and rates.   Cancellation / Transfers: Participants can cancel prior to June 10th, less a $100 service fee. After June 10th, cancellation will result in a refund of 50% of your original registration fee. Registration transfers are permitted only with prior consent from MTI faculty.
