Press release from the New Hyde Park-Garden City Park Union Free School District: September 17 2020 During the summer months, the New Hyde Park-Garden City Park Union Free SchoolDistrict prepared for the upcoming school year by completing various projects in all four school buildings: Garden City Park School, Hillside Grade School, Manor Oaks School and New Hyde Park Road School. All four buildings received new security vestibules, which included the installation of new doors, light fixtures and visitor transaction windows. The updated vestibules align with the district's Board of Education goal to protect the health and safety of students, teachers, staff and community. Garden City Park School's basement was repainted in the school colors of blue and gold. There are plans to repaint the entire interior. Hillside Grade School's hallway columns received a makeover, as they were repainted green to match the school's colors. At New Hyde Park Road School, all the hallways were repainted in the school colors of maroon, yellow and white. The school also brought in new, circular cafeteria tables in the same color scheme.
