Seeking Tambourine Player for Rock/Folk Band

Our band is currently looking for a new tambourine player. Band experience required. Involvement in church bands is acceptable, and somewhat expected. But experience credit not given for solo acts. No formal training required. Ability to play other tambourine-like instruments, such as the Buben, Dayereh, and Tar, though impressive, is not required. Must provide your own instrument. Tassels, streamers, beads and other items cannot be attached. If painted, only dull colors allowed. Writings, such as nicknames, poems, or manifestos, on instrument are not allowed. Singing isn't required, but mouth movement may be required if performing near audience. While onstage, you will not be provided a microphone, but certain songs may require you to lean your head towards a mic while holding your instrument at arm's length away from the mic. You will be performing on most upbeat songs. And expected to keep your instrument completely quiet during ballads, serenades or laments. On occasion, you may also be asked to play the cow-bell and training will be provided. Depending on the number of applicants, you may be asked to audition. If auditions are required, you will be asked to perform two simple rhythm-keeping numbers, a brief tambourine solo, and a song of your choice that you feel shows your talent.
