Not sure why this was flagged, but to be clear I'm seeking an actual missed connection whose name is John. So, back in 2015, I was visiting Charleston while in the middle of a sailing trip. Wanting to see more of the city through a local's eyes, I posted a dating ad here on CL, back when that was still a thing. I was lucky enough to get a real, polite response and so we agreed to meet up. We wandered around historic Charleston, went for a few drinks, watched some scary movies at my rental loft. It was such a great time, hasn't left my thoughts and while I was too stupid to keep in touch due to distance, I'd love to see if I can find him now. We didn't sleep together, I am not seeking him for anything other than the chance to hang out again when I visit next week on another sailing trip. Here is what I remember: Maybe he lived on James Island? He was around my age (now 42). I'm very short, I don't remember him being tall. USN, but I can't remember more. We nerded out about boats quite a bit. He will remember me as the sailor girl with the loft, but I'll need to verify a few details to confirm.
