Ahoy Maties! Looking to start a pirate band. Sea shanties, murder ballads, and dirty pirate songs. Will be a gigging band. Costumes, outrageous stage antics, the whole bit. My vision is for a pretty large band, so I’m looking for a lot of people and a lot of instruments. I play guitar and mandolin and sing some too. Very well versed in bluegrass but have played in rock and blues outfits as well. We will definitely need another guitar, bass, fiddle, and at least one type of percussion. I would really like to find someone to play concertina and/or accordion too (that would make it nice and authentic). A penny whistle would also rock. You should be from a folk type tradition, a little quirky, able to play with others, ready for fun, and easy to get along with.
