Hi everyone, we run a 7 acre hobby farm called The Little Gothic Homestead here in Canton. We wanted to reach out to the community and see how many Halloween loving neighbors we have! We are planning our second annual Halloween hoe-down! Barn party/Hog roast! and we are already getting started with building new props & planting our pumpkin patch so all of the children can carve jack-o-lanterns! 🎃 last season we roasted a 150lb hog, had free pumpkins for the children and adults to carve as well as a bounce house! This season we are considering doing a haunted house as well as a haunted hay ride & corn maze! We love Halloween so much that we want to make this year's Halloween hoe-down even bigger than before! We are asking for a little help from our neighbors this year to make this experience even more spooky and fun for everyone though ! If anyone has old decorations, props, animatronics, or building materials (to make concession stands/ build out the haunted house), concession or big top tents, carnival games etc they are willing to donate we would appreciate any and all help we can get! We are also willing to buy these things if reasonably priced but we are trying to avoid going deep in the hole like we did last year if at all possible. Materials we can use to build (even pallets we could turn into cool props or tables) are really what we are hoping to find for free but all Halloween stuff is welcomed and appreciated! Even old items like baby buggies that we can make creepy and use! We are also looking for Halloween haunters who would be interested in volunteering to work in the haunted house this year! We would say we do this for the kids but we do it for the screams & the candy! Thank you all in advance! 🍬 🎃🖤
