Bursting Blooms Landscape and Construction is hiring • a detailed and quality-oriented foreman to lead our landscape and hardscape installation crews; and • a hard-working crew member to join our team. These are full-time, permanent, year-round positions with immediate employment. We are a professional landscape construction company, and we value and reward loyal employees as our most important asset. The successful candidates for these positions will have a strong work ethic and the desire to advance within the company in a work environment with quality work and efficiency being held as our highest standards. All applicants should be 19 years of age or older with a valid driver’s license. Foreman applicants should have at least two years of experience. Experience is also a plus but not required for those applying for the crew member, but we are willing to train enthusiastic, positive, and reliable people. Bursting Blooms will complete a background check, and the applicant may be required to have a drug screen in accordance with federal, state, and local laws. Qualifications: • Quick learner, problem solver, and courteous communicator with customers and crew members; • Ability to work on projects alone or as a team player with multiple crew members; • Ability to work in all weather conditions such as cold, heat, rain, or snow; • Ability to lift, load, and carry items and/or machinery up to 80 pounds consistently; • Ability to operate various tools, equipment, and machinery associated with various projects; • Be able to stoop, stand, and bend for 8 hours per day. Daily/Weekly tasks • Provide labor associated with the preparation, excavation, and installation of paver patios, walkways, retaining walls, and landscape lighting; • Assist in daily preparation of trucks and equipment; • Load and secure equipment; • Load and secure all plant material and hard materials required for the day; • Assist crew leader in any preparation required for the day; • Drive a truck with a 16-foot trailer and check oil, fluids, tire pressure, trailer connection, lights to make sure all are in working condition; • Perform landscape installation and maintenance tasks on customers’ property; • Plant trees, shrubs, perennial flowers; • Perform all tasks with operations including, but not limited to, debris removal, bed edging, and mulch installation; • Prepare beds and lawns by hand or small equipment; • Apply herbicides; • Install lawns; • Assist team with all tasks associated with landscape installation, grounds, maintenance, and job site cleanup; • Assist with end of the day/week equipment maintenance; • Unload equipment, clean out truck/trailer by removing trash, debris, etc., daily • Inventory and report materials used on the job; • Report damaged or broken equipment to the manager; • Assist crew leader in preparation for the next day; • Deliver all receipts and payment method (credit cards) of daily purchases to crew leader. We offer competitive pay starting at a minimum of $17 per hour with bonuses and annual raises, and vacation pay based on length of employment. No weekend work.
