Description

I am sadly looking for a home for one last chinchilla. a few months ago I was able to rehome all my rescues, as they were finally ready for new homes after the situations that they were rescued from. And I kept my personal chinchilla. However, I am now facing a situation that has left me unable to keep her which is extremely upsetting and difficult as she is my baby and I love her to pieces. Her name is Lola, I’ve had for about 4 years I believe. She is probably 9, however chinchillas can live upwards of 20 years old with the proper care. she will come with literally anything and everything she will ever need. you wouldn’t have to buy a single thing accept her food and hay when it needs to be restocked. She will come with a ferret nation cage, single story that I bought brand new last year from country max. Not a single spec of rust anywhere. She will also come with a metal replacement pan for the bottom of the cage from bass equipment, and her cage is filled with wooden hides and ledges that I’ve bought over the years, as well as a two story all metal house. All other accessories she has will be included as well. I am asking a rehoming fee, and it’s not cheap because all of this stuff together wasn’t cheap. The cage and pan together are over $200 alone, not to mention Lola is an ebony chinchilla (she does not have a white belly like a standard) so she’s dark grey all over and ebonies range from $200 to $400 depending on the breeder and how dark they are. I am asking $400 for everything, however I am willing to negotiate for the right home. $400 seems steep, however in the world of chinchillas setting up a proper setup like Lola has (NO plastic, all metal, proper cage, ledges, etc) is very costly because chinchillas require specific care and are exotic animals. This is a one time fee compared to having to spend hundreds of dollars multiple times in order to have a correct setup and then actually buy the chinchilla. So, please keep that in mind when you read this ad. I love her very much, but I am at work every day (literally, every single day) and my boyfriend is as well. We already have a dog and all of our time is dedicated to him, so we have very little time for Lola anymore and it breaks my heart. She does not like to be held, however once she is used to you she absolutely adores chin scratches and will tolerate her head being scratched as well. Please text me with any more questions. thank you
