Farm Farm CSA is seeking a full time employee (40 hours a week, 5 days a week) IMMEDIATELY! We are a 2 acre non certified organic vegetable CSA and market farm growing a diverse list of crops. Employees will be involved in all aspects of vegetable production, and we treat all employees who are eager to learn as apprentices: we will share our knowledge and experience and take the time to train and explain. In addition to work that takes place on the farm, this position requires you to do Thursday CSA deliveries from mid June until the end of October. You must have a clean driving record. You must feel confident driving our Ram Promaster high roof van. The delivery route takes you from our farm to SE Minneapolis then west through the suburbs. Employees must be punctual, hard working, have good attention to detail, a good attitude, and be self motivated. You must be able to work quickly and with a sense of urgency! Typical work days are from 8am to 4:30pm (Thursday deliveries are 7am to 3:30). We sometimes work outside these times to beat the weather (starting earlier on really hot days, or working later to beat stormy weather) Employees must be physically fit, able to carry 50lbs, able to bend down or kneel down all day long in all sorts of weather: 100 degrees and humid, 30 degrees with blowing snow. Farming is production work IF YOU CAN'T WORK QUICKLY WITH A SENSE OF URGENCY DON'T BOTHER APPLYING! Compensation starts is $16/ hour. We may be able to pay more if you have previous farming experience. Employees have access to free extra produce when available and receive 50% off a CSA share if they choose.
