Anaina Hou Community Park is hiring a Facilities Landscape Maintenance position. This position is a 25-hour a week position, with flexibility for up to 40 hours per week and is ideally suited for someone who enjoys providing attention to detail, has an eye for aesthetics, is always conscious of public safety, and can work at a brisk pace without compromising quality results. Working Conditions are mostly outdoors. The position participates in ensuring that all landscaping is pristine, including mowing lawn, edging, weeding, mulching & fertilizing. Additional landscape and maintenance duties as assigned. Absolutely no toxic chemicals are allowed. This position will assist in caring for all the grounds including the Porter Pavilion Complex, Botanical Gardens/Miniature Golf, and Anaina Hou Playground. The position will be expected to facilitate all duties as assigned. The position must be able to work independently, follow directions to the letter, and move on to the next unique task assigned. Schedule to be determined, occasional emergency afterhours may be required. Position reports to Director of Operations, Facilities Manager and the Executive Director, may take direction from the Events Manager as well as appropriate. All staff are required to support the Farmer’s Market as assigned. Candidates with weekend availability are strongly preferred. This position requires annual proof of First Aid, CPR, and AED training, as well as full COVID-19 vaccination, including boosters as indicated from the Department of Health.
