Join our IWD partners for an in person event to further explore our 2022 themes of Intersectionality and Equity in Sustainability. Our 2022 "Women in Sustainability Madison Meetup" collaborators and co-hosts, USGBC Wisconsin, WSBC's Women in Sustainability, Evolution Marketing, Sustain Dane, Wisconsin EcoLatinos, Dane County Office of Energy & Climate Change invite YOU to join us in person on June 2nd to continue our 2022 celebration of International Women's Day (IWD)! Our goal for this 2022 meetup event is to educate and empower attendees' to be effective female leaders and #changemakers in the green building and sustainability professions. This interactive program will include presentations and group discussions highlighting the unique obstacles, opportunities and leadership necessary to help us all to move holistic sustainability and equity forward during the complex times we live in (i.e. ecological disasters/climate change, global pandemic, #blacklivesmatters, #metoo, and economic recession). Together we can help to co-create a more #well and #equitable workplace culture. By focusing on female leadership, we hope all attendees will be empowered to be the change they want to see in the world! Therefore ,this event is open to all who identify with the language of women (cisgender women, trans women, womxn, black and indigenous women of color, non-binary and gender nonconforming individuals). All are welcome and encouraged to attend and participate in this event. We unequivocally recognize and welcome trans women as women. We commit to ongoing anti-racism learning and practice. And we expect the same of all women who choose to participate in our 2022 International Women's Day programming. Health and Safety: We request that in person attendees be fully vaccinated and boosted or have a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours before attending the program. Anyone with symptoms of illness and/or COVID-19 are asked to please not attend in-person.
