She'll be leading us in a tasting and talk about their farming, winemaking, and how Vital is working to change the narrative of how and why one makes wine in Washington State. About Vital: Vital Wines is a community-driven, 501c(3), non-profit organization that dedicates 100 percent of its profits to support the health, dignity, and inclusion of vineyard and winery workers. Based in Walla Walla, we believe that vineyard and winery workers are the roots of Washington’s wine regions, and their health, dignity, and inclusion is essential to the future of our communities and of our industry. Vital was founded in 2016 by winemaker Ashley Trout and is led by Executive Director Maddie Richards. The winery and its impact are driven entirely by a dedicated community of donors and volunteers. From world-class fruit, to production, operations, professional services, and even tasting room staffing—our community of supporters bring our mission to life with their contributions.
