Join us for an evening of champagne, authentic African cuisine and a celebration of the changemakers among us. #PartyWithPurpose At this first village gathering and fundraiser, THE NYUMA HARRISON FOUNDATION will showcase what we have accomplished since our start in 2020. We will also recognize and honor the individuals whose time and/or major donations propelled from "just an idea" to a legitimate and fully functioning NGO. All event proceeds go towards supporting NHFs' 2022 operating budget. Current needs include but are not limited to: The provision of hot breakfasts for 27 children at our partner orphanage Salary for part-time home tutorsSalary for one part-time nurse andSalary for one part-time mental health counselor.EVENT DETAILS Date: Thursday, May 19th 2022 Time: 5pm - 8pm (official event will begin promptly at 5:30pm) Parking: Swahili Village is located in the heart of downtown D.C. Paid garage parking is highly recommended. Dress code: Business or cocktail chique Tickets: Ticket prices include your share of: Champagne, beer/ wine (or non-alcoholic bevs) Tastes of authentic East African appetizers.
