Original Ed Mikenas Coffee House tunes and trivia. Jazz standards by the trio. Coffee and baked goods by Baines Books and Coffee Amherst Glebe Arts Response Inc. (AGAR) and Second Stage Amherst (SSA) will present THE QUANTUM MECHANICS in the next Amherst Java & Jazz event to take place at Second Stage from 6 to 8 pm on Saturday May 21.The Quantum Mechanics are the trio of Ed Mikenas (console steel guitar, vocals, and coffeehouse trivia), Worth Proffitt (drums and percussion) and Andy Aeschbacher (bass). They will be playing a mix of original tunes by Mikenas and jazz standards. Amherst Java and Jazz admission is $10/adults and $5/students with attendees receiving a ticket for a cup of coffee, a soda or water from Baines Books and Coffee, who will also be selling quiches, sandwiches and baked goods.
