This award celebrates Black educators from across Central Indiana who have gone beyond the call of duty. Black Excellence in Education Awards powered by Teach for America and the City of Indianapolis Office of Education Innovation For 127 years, The Indianapolis Recorder Newspaper has portrayed Black Excellence as the correlation between hard work, overcoming obstacles, and character. InnoPower, LLC and Recorder Media Group are pleased to announce the 2022 InnoPower Minority Business Week Conference, taking place June 13-17, 2022. During the conference, InnoPower will present new awards to celebrate the amazing Black professionals in Central Indiana. The Black Excellence in Education Awards celebrate Black educators from across Central Indiana who have gone beyond the call of duty to serve students, families, and colleagues. While many of us may use the words Black and African American interchangeably, Black isn't just about race. It's an entire culture. Innopower's Conference focuses on advancing the Black cause in education, business, and technology; we have changed the name of our signature education award African American Excellence in Education Awards, to the Black Excellence in Education Awards, to better align with the goals of the conference. In its 6th year, the awards have celebrated over 300 Black educators across Central Indiana, and we look forward to continuing this fantastic award program in 2022!
