MIAMI BEACH, FL — A man has been arrested after screaming violent anti-Semitic threats at a father and his 12-year-old son in South Beach Sunday night, WSVN reported.
Miami Beach police arrested Lamont Collins for screaming at the father and son on and around Lincoln Road. He faces charges of assault, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, reports said. The state attorney's office will review the case to see if it should be elevated to a hate crime.
Collins threatened the life of the father and son, chanting "I'm going to (expletive) kill you, (expletive) Jews" and "(expletive) the Jews, your time has come," reports said.
They tried to run away from him, entering Frieze Ice Cream Factory shop for safety, but he followed them inside, WSVN said.
Police were called and Collins was arrested a few blocks from the area. While in custody, he continued making threats and disturbing comments, reports said. Two knives were found in his backpack.
