Join us as we celebrate the rich #Culture of the African and Black Diaspora as we honor leaders dedicated to building communities. Event Details Presented by The Progressive Minds Show,NFP, join us for a momentous night of excellence in which our union is designed to fully embrace, educate and understand the ethnicity, cultures and traditions within the African, Caribbean and African American communities. We have carefully curated a special ceremony, cultural presentations, and ethnic food to give you an authentic cultural experience. We will come together to experience and embrace our culture and oneness unlike never before. A truly elegant ceremony of unearthing peace and unity. ​In collaboration with The Rainbow PUSH Coalition, The 2022 Exchange Ceremony will take place at the iconic Rainbow PUSH Coalition Headquarters, located at 930 E. 50th St, Chicago IL. This year, The Exchange Ceremony proudly honors Rev. Jesse L. Jackson, Sr. for his legacy of leadership in the Black Community. He, along with other Chicago notables will be honored this day so don't miss it! About The Exchange Ceremony is a unity-focused ceremony and evening of excellence being held as an important step toward unifying the Chicagoland African, Afro-Caribbean and African-American communities, all of which make up the African Diaspora. We are bringing individuals and organizations together in an attempt to heal the wounds of the Middle Passage separation. This will be an evening of love, unity, cultural healing, and communal support. Guests will experience the taste of authentic cusines spanning the African and Black Diaspora in variety, cultural entertainment performances by special cultural-rich artists, special guests, live music, and more. Dress to impress! Formal or traditional attire perferred and encouraged. The Progressive Minds Show, NFP The Progressive Minds Show, a 501-C(3) organization, is a global social platform dedicated building the global community of the Black Diaspora. Every Wednesday, from 6 - 8 PM CST, we facilitate transformative discussions live on Facebook, YouTube, and Afro Star Radio. Our dialogue style engages with respected subject matter experts to educate, empower, and engage our global audience of viewers. As cultural advocates, we support initiatives dedicated to helping youth, the voiceless, and the disenfranchised. Our passion to stand for cultural identity Show Host Sena “Alinco”, a radio host, production manager, community organizer, critical thinker, sports and soccer enthusiast among many other passions that fall under the umbrella of unity.. With his passion for social activism, he emerged as an award-winning radio personality by the Abolition Institute. He is a well-known and well-loved host who embodies the voice of the people in which he serves on his mission of affecting positive attitudes within our society through verbal dialogue. Show Co Host Michelle O'Kennard is a Global Brand Manager who creates and runs successful, bi-lingual digital marketing campaigns, reaching 20 + countries world-wide, to help grow and scale her client’s businesses everyday. A Chicago native, she earned her Bachelor's Degree from UIC in Sociology, her Master's Degree in Health & Human Services from Governor's State University and is currently earning a second Master's Degree in Marketing Science from DePaul's Graduate School of Business.
