By purchasing a ticket, you agree to all information below. About Full Package and Individual Event TicketsThe Black Alumni Network Reunion 2022 registration package gives access to the entire weekend event. A limited number of individual event tickets may be available on August 1, 2022. It is advised to reserve your space early. NOTE: SPACE IS LIMITED due to COVID safety procedures. REFUND Policy All proceeds of the Illinois Black Alumni Reunion go toward needed scholarships for current Black students on campus. Therefore, there are no refunds once you purchase your ticket(s). If you cannot attend the event, your ticket will be considered a donation to the Black Alumni Network's Scholarship Fund with the University of Illinois Foundation. COVID PolicyThe University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Black Alumni Network Board of Directors will follow CDC, IDPH, and local policy and guidelines regarding COVID-19 large events. We have taken into consideration the impact of COVID on African-American lives and will take every precaution for the safety of all. In addition to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign's policy for events, all participants of our 20th Anniversary and All-Classes Illinois Black Alumni Reunion 2022 must be fully vaccinated to attend or show proof of a negative COVID PCR Antigen test within 24-48 hours of attending our event. The proof will be required during check-in at the registration tables to receive reunion materials including wrist bands that give you access to the full package or individual events. Without proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test, attendees will not be permitted access to IBAR22 events and your purchased event ticket will be considered a donation to the BAN Scholarship Fund. The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Black Alumni Network may take temperatures prior to access to any event to ensure the safety of all participants. If your temperature registers above 100.9, you will not be allowed access to the event and your purchased event ticket will be considered a donation to the BAN Scholarship. PPE (paper masks and hand sanitizer) will be available at all events. We ask that everyone practice self-care as it relates to COVID-19. If you have been exposed or experience symptoms within 5 days of September 15-18, 2022, we ask you to act responsibly and not attend. Event DisclaimerBy participating in any events planned and controlled by the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Black Alumni Network, NFP (BAN), you agree to the following: 1. I agree that I am 18 years or older. By agreeing to these terms, I hereby waive all claims, including negligence, against any and all persons involved with the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Black Alumni Network, NFP. 2. The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Black Alumni Network, NFP events are provided with no special warranty either expressed or implied. The Organizers, including but not limited to the Committee Members and Volunteers of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Black Alumni Network, NFP events assume no liability for any loss, theft, damage, or injury to property or persons, including death, whether arising in contract, negligence, equity, or otherwise. 3. You assume all risks when participating in the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Black Alumni Network, NFP events. All participants must use care and good judgment and must obey all rules and regulations of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Black Alumni Network, NFP or the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign associated on-campus events. You will comply with all requests made by the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Black Alumni Network, NFP. You must obey all laws of the State of Illinois. The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Black Alumni Network, NFP reserves the right to reject any participant who does not comply with the terms of this section. Rejected participants will not be entitled to a refund or any further recourse. 4. You will defend, indemnify and hold harmless the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Black Alumni Network, NFP and its organizers, directors, consultants, agents, volunteers, and affiliates for any and all legal actions arising out of participation in a University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Black Alumni Network, NFP event. You further agree to pay all legal fees incurred by the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Black Alumni Network, NFP that arise due to this agreement. 5. You give the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Black Alumni Network, NFP authorization to use and post any photographs, videotapes, recordings, or any other record of our events, including full names of any participants, before, during, or after the event for promotional use, reporting to the media and to publish on our website or blog. You will not be entitled to any compensation for the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Black Alumni Network’s use of your name or image. 6. Refunds for any reason will not be granted. All ticket purchases will be donated to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Black Alumni Network’s scholarship fund account at the University of Illinois Foundation. 7. The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Black Alumni Network reserves the right to exclude anyone from becoming a University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Black Alumni Network participant should they choose not to accept this Agreement.
