Description
Walk-n-Talk through downtown LA, as we look at our housing history and discuss community driven solutions. Take a walk with us through Little Tokyo and Skid Row, as we imagine solutions to our housing crisis. We’ll start and end at the Japanese American Cultural & Community Center in Little Tokyo and in between, we’ll hear from both Little Tokyo and Skid Row advocates about community-driven ideas and solutions. We’ll also get a “Homelessness 101” and “Housing 101” and a look at some of the past policies and practices that got us to this point. We’re excited to provide lunch from a local vendor, and fantastic community-based artists that are anchored in this work will perform throughout the day.
