Description

The Red, Black & Gold Scholarship Gala will raise funds for HBCU student scholarships. Having to cancel its 2020 Gala because of COVID, The Woodson Foundation is ready to reconnect with our supporters. The 2022 gala will be a unique fundraising celebration. The Red, Black, & Gold Scholarship Gala celebrates the birthday of our founder, R. Wayne Woodson. If you do not know his story, it is inspiring and empowering. His resilience directly aligns with the The Woodson Foundation's work across the country. We are excited to have performances by award winning artists; including, Keeyan Martin, Aaron Thomas and Rahim Brazil. All of the funds raised from the evening will support HBCU student scholarships. Attendees are asked to donate and invite others to donate. Donations can be made with your ticket purchase or at the event. The Woodson Foundation is a 501c3 organization, and donations are tax-deductible as allowable by law. ATTIRE: This is a black-tie event. Guests are asked to wear red, black or gold. Please avoid wearing white except for tuxedo shirts. We appreciate your support. Please share the event with your contacts. We have set a fundraising goal of $25,000. NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR!
