Join us for an experience of the /Practice of Tea/ with Kat Reeves
There will be a presentation, demonstration, and opportunity to prepare and share matcha, including the whisking and etiquette of receiving a bowl of tea according to the traditions of the Urasenke (Kyoto) School of Cha No Yu.
Cha No Yu and Chado, the "way” or Practice of Tea, fundamentally, are oriented towards the practice of mindfully sharing space with others over a bowl of tea. It is a seven-hundred-year-old tradition rooted in four principles: peace, respect, purity, and tranquility.
