Travel by kayak, canoe or tube down the river to stops along the way to play your hand at poker. Rain or shine! Join us for an afternoon on the river in either your kayak, canoe or tube and play your hand at poker as you guide yourself down the river. There will be stops along the way where you will draw a card. This is not a race so enjoy your time with your friends and family as you make your way to the finish. One hand of poker is allowed per person. More than one person can play poker per watercraft. At the end of the float- best poker hand wins. The Float will take approximately 2 hours depending on the water levels. Ocmulgee Outdoor Expeditions will be providing a shuttle back to the north end for a 5 dollar fee ( either include that with your add on at checkout or you can bring cash that day to the registration table). Don't want to float but want to help the cause, you can become a phantom floater, register and still receive a shirt the day of the event or you can follow the ticket button and just make a donation. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Alzheimer's Association. *** Prizes *** 1st place $250.00 2nd place $ 100.00 3rd place $ 50.00 If you are not pre-registered, we can not guarantee you a T-shirt!! Rules for the poker float 5 card stud: 1. The float will begin at 10 am, however you can enter the water at any time after as long as you have made it to the finish by 1:30pm. 2. Participants will float along the river and stop along the way to draw cards, your final card will be drawn at the takeout/ finish line. 3. If you draw a duplicate card of the same suite you must return the card to the dealer and draw again until you have a pulled a card that you have not already received. 4. You may purchase a "float" card the day of the event at the registration table for 10 dollars ( cash only) This card is like a wild card and may be used in place of one of your other cards or not used at all depending on if the player chooses to do so.
