(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) ceramics classes held a successful "Empty Bowls" fundraiser Tuesday.
Ceramics teacher Laura Victore's class sold over 150 bowls and raised a total of over $2,000 in proceeds for a local food bank in Manatee County, helping to feed many within the community.
Victore said "I am very proud of my students for understanding the meaning and importance of the Empty Bowls Event, but even more than excited to announce two more Empty Bowl fundraisers next year during the winter and spring."

All left over snacks and drinks from the fundraiser will be donated to a local food bank.
According to Empty Bowls, "We are a grassroots movement by artists and crafts people in cities and towns around the world to raise money for food related charities to care for and feed the hungry in their communities."
The event helps people all around the world and within our community.
