SPRING VALLEY, NY — A Spring Valley man accused of a violent attempted kidnapping has been indicted by a Rockland County grand jury.
Daniel Pulla-Pilco, 23, is charged with one count of Attempted Kidnapping in the Second Degree and one count of Strangulation in the Second Degree.
Prosecutors allege that in Spring Valley on Sept. 9, Pulla-Pilco followed a stranger from her place of employment. He dragged her into a poorly lit area and began to choke her, eventually causing his victim to lose consciousness. He then fled.
Ultimately he was sought and found by the Village of Spring Valley Police Department, said District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh, II.
"The defendant has been charged with a violent and egregious crime," Walsh said. "The attack and attempted kidnapping of a stranger is an extremely sinister offense. The Rockland County District Attorney's Office will be pursuing swift justice for the victim."
