NANUET, NY — A shooting at the Doubletree Hotel in Nanuet is under investigation, Clarkstown police said on Facebook Thursday evening. Nanuet residents could hear helicopters over the scene; there was speculation on social media that police were searching for someone. However, Clarkstown police said at 6:30 p.m. that they are not searching for anyone. In addition to the Clarkstown police, the Nanuet Ambulance Corps and Medic 5 were called to the scene of the shooting, Rockland Fires reported. NBC New York reported that a man was injured by federal agents as the DEA was executing a warrant during a drug-related investigation and subsequent arrest.
