MN NAF! Academy presents: Curly Cutting Class taught by Melissa Taylor, owner and educator at the Beauty Lounge Salon in Minneapolis. Melissa specializes in curly cutting education. She will be leading this 4 hour hands on workshop here at MN NAF! Salon. We will discuss curly hair, how to address issues and traumas that may come up for clients regarding salon visits. How to create a space where the client feels comfortable, seen and heard. We will be doing two cuts. First we will do a longer cut discussing different textures, how to address them and how to go about the service. After lunch we will do another shorter cut, where Melissa will go over tapering textured hair and how to create a soft finish. * you need to provide your own curly mannequin head. If you’d like to be able to go over both haircuts later, bring two. Otherwise you can use the same one for the first cut and then re-cut it for the shorter cut. Lunch will be provided.
