NANUET, NY — 'Tis the season for giving back to your community. There are a number of ways that you and your family can help out and help others. Every day through Christmas, Patch will be highlighting a way you can provide compassion and resources to those in need. Volunteer New York! makes it easy to find ways to help — through donations, supporting nonprofits and even volunteering at home. Today's opportunity is Miles of Smiles Volunteers. Meals on Wheels Programs & Services of Rockland Inc. needs volunteers to help brighten a smile for a senior by creating Miles of Smiles bags. The bags will be filled with dental products such as a toothbrush, toothpaste and floss and dropped off in Nanuet.
