Baltimore County Police: Deanwood Shooting Under Investigation

Press release from the Baltimore County Police Department: May 05, 2022 Detectives with the Baltimore County Criminal Investigations Bureau continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting that occurred on May 6. The two individuals injured remain in the hospital. Once this investigation has concluded, the case will be turned over to the Baltimore County State's Attorney's Office. The off-duty officer, with the Maryland National Capital Park Police – Montgomery County Division, was not shot during this incident. On May 5, 2022, at approximately 6:20 p.m., Baltimore County police officers were called to the 1100 block of Deanwood Rd. for reports of shots fired. When officers arrived, they found two people with gunshot wounds. Both individuals were transported to an area hospital for treatment. During the course of their investigation, detectives identified an individual involved in the shooting as an off-duty police officer with the Maryland National Capital Park Police - Montgomery County Division. The officer was not injured. Investigators believe all the individuals who were involved in this shooting have been identified and there is no threat to the community.
