Summer Learning Adventure is a free, 19-day outdoor-themed enrichment program for currently enrolled kindergartner through 5th grade APS students.
The kindergarten through second-grade program theme is NM Wild! Students will explore literacy, math, science, social studies, and the arts while emphasizing New Mexico plants, animals, habitats, aquatics, and geology. Students will be outdoors daily, learning in a camp-like setting using project-based, hands-on learning.
The third- through fifth-grade program theme is Making Connections: Be Super Arts Smart! Students will work with Fine Arts teachers to explore their superpower of creativity.
The goal of the Summer Learning Adventure is to provide a rich and engaging program that helps students learn, practice, and retain skills throughout the summer. We expect students to learn and try new things, get messy, and engage with activities that inspire and challenge them in new ways!
June 13 through July 14 from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
Summer Learning Adventure is open to APS students in kindergarten through fifth grade during the 2021-2022 school year. Private and charter school students aren't eligible. Your student's eligibility is based on what zone their school is in. Enrollment is limited to 240 students at each site on a first-come, first-serve basis and will be online only: Registration Links
Have student ID numbers available for each child. Find your student's Summer Learning Adventure school Register using the Google Form Transportation will be available to and from the student's home school.
