Here are the top three stories in New Orleans today: Six people were shot in New Orleans East on Friday afternoon. NOPD arrived on the scene to find two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. One was pronounced dead at the scene and the other died at the hospital. The other four victims were transported to the hospital via private vehicle and seemed to be in good condition. NOPD is currently investigating all six shootings as one incident. (WDSU New Orleans) A New Orleans man was found after police responded to an disabled vehicle call hiding twelve baggies of heroin and cocaine inside his mouth. He admitted to swallowing several more and was taken to the hospital where they later found a bag of marijuana in his rectum. (WGNO New Orleans) The Orleans Parish District Attorney announced Friday in the wake of the supreme court leak that indicates a potential overturn of Roe vs. Wade, he would not prosecute women who have abortions even if Louisiana gives him that power. He claimed he can't and won't "shift his focus" from prosecuting shootings, rapes and carjackings.
