Press release from the Jefferson Parish Government: May 3, 2022 OVER COUSINS CANAL, WEST OF ALEX KORNMAN ROAD JEFFERSON, LA – One eastbound left lane and a U-turn on Lapalco Boulevard over the Cousins Canal will remain closed as crews work to repair a culvert under the roadway. Motorists traveling eastbound on Lapalco can merge to the available lane and continue to the next U-turn. The closure is scheduled until Friday, May 13, 2022, weather permitting.
