Description

Press release from Western Kentucky University: May 4, 2022 Colleagues, "It has been over two years since the pandemic compelled an unprecedented university shutdown that lasted longer than we could have ever imagined. Members of the WKU family have faced many personal and professional challenges during this time, and all I can say is that I am proud of and impressed with your hard work and dedication throughout to ensure that we continued to deliver a quality education. I extend my heartfelt thanks for all that you have done to help us continue to transform the lives of our students. Thanks to you, our faculty, and staff, 3,912 students graduated in 2020-21, and approximately 3,925 more will graduate this academic year. Please know that each and every one of you has played an important role in ensuring that our students were able to achieve their dream of completing a college degree and preparing to embark on the next chapter of their lives. As we move forward, we will use the lessons learned during these challenging times to continue to improve opportunities and outcomes for our students while making our own work more valuable and rewarding. You, the faculty, and staff, are who make our WKU Family strong. Thank you for all that you have done and continue to do to help fulfill our students' dreams and for ensuring that WKU is an outstanding institution. By working together, we all make WKU a better place". GO TOPS! Robert "Bud" FischerProvost and Vice President for Academic Affairs This press release was produced by Western Kentucky University.
