Description
MERRIMACK, NH - Merrimack Fire Rescue and police responded to Joppa Road near the corner of Patten for a report of an SUV into a utility pole on Saturday.
Responders arrived at 3:05 p.m. and found a large SUV that had crashed into the pole, and snapped it. Merrimack Police shut down the roadway so that firefighters could give medical attention to 3 people.
Two ambulances transported victims to a Nashua hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.
It appears the vehicle for unknown reasons left the right side of the roadway and struck the pole. Bailey's Towing responded to the scene and removed the vehicle so Eversource could begin repairs.
Merrimack Police are investigating the accident. Police put out a traffic advisory that stated the road would be blocked near Patten Rd for several hours while repairs are made.
Nashua Fire and Police responded to a different vehicle into a pole in their city two minutes after the one that occurred in Merrimack.
