Description

MANCHESTER, NH — Bail orders were handed down by Hillsborough County Superior Court North Judge Amy Messer that allowed Kayla Montgomery to be released on unsecured bail on Friday. The revised bail comes after several court sessions discussing charges unrelated to Harmony Montgomery's disappearance. Kayla Montgomery faces felony theft-welfare fraud and possession of stolen firearms charges. At about 7:30 p.m., the doors to the booking area of the Valley Street Jail opened and Kayla Montgomery exited, covering her face with a mask, her hand, and a hoodie pulled over her forehead. As she walked on the sidewalk, being chased by journalists, prisoners were pounding on the windows and she waved to them. Kayla Montgomery continued to run from the media that had gathered outside and ran several blocks chasing her before a blue SUV stopped and she jumped in, and drove off. The SUV then proceeded up Valley Street where Kayla Montgomery entered the Manchester police station and a short time later jumped in the SUV and drove off.
