Description
LAGUNA BEACH, CA — Laguna Beach residents walking around town this weekend may notice crews on street corners, beaches and trails.
These crews, called Little Picker Crews by the city, will start picking up trash around the city this weekend as a part of the City of Laguna Beach's Neighborhood and Environmental Protection Plan.
Four litter picker crews will work weekends from Friday through September to clean up the city, after residents expressed concerns to the city about visitor impacts to Laguna Beach last year.
According to the city, the Neighborhood and Environment Protection Plan is a program city officials created in 2021. The plan focuses on four major points:
Improving the quality of life for Laguna Beach residents. Reducing trash, litter and enhancing the city's environment. Reducing visitor parking impacts.Increasing beach, park and trail safety in Laguna Beach.
