Woman Sustains Head Trauma After Falling from Macy's Escalator

WESLEY CHAPEL, FL — Pasco County Fire Rescue were called to the scene of an escalator emergency at Macy's in the Shops at Wiregrass mall, 28211 Paseo Drive, Wesley Chapel, late Friday afternoon. A 70-year-old woman fell from an escalator causing major head trauma. Firefighters on the scene reported the woman fell from near the top of the escalator. She was airlifted as a trauma alert to a local trauma center.
